Not too much to report as it's just the beginning of August except that it's lashing down with rain as I type which is why I'm typing and not being dragged about by one of our new 16m2 kites - so exciting!!

4/127 Grand Drive and now 2/36 Marau Cres

An update on July's house hunting is that we didn't get the Tahapa Cresent house - almost certainly for the best as there were a few reasons why it wasn't perfect...hence our lowish offer...etc.

So we 've picked ourselves right up and are now actively battling for another property which is very different but equally exciting. It's a ground floor appartment that is in an absolute state...would require new kitchen and bathroom at the very least. Has no garden or views, but is a stone's throw from the best beach in Auckland - Mission Bay. If interested, check out the property here.

So we're currently thinking we fancy a big project (and living on the beach/water) for a while. Only slight snag is that the property is going to auction...so we'll be battling over a couple of hundred thousand pounds in an auction room - game on!

And so, as with the month of August, this page is a work in progress...
