That's Mission Bay where we're going to auction tomorrow night!!

Jean And Mick arrive from the UK!

...and we've been lucky enough to get a snippet of Jean's thoughts...

"So, travel for 24 hours arrive at Joey and Phil’s and then we are off on a kite surfing adventure – well Phil did need to prove that the kites were worth the money!!!"

"Mick of course thought he was an expert – jo and I looked on but then thought we should have a go but needed the extra weight of our husbands to avoid been dragged away.  Well, Phil proved more adept at keeping jo’s feet on the ground – Mick however, decided to let go and let his wife drag through the mud!!!!!"

(PS don't forget to click on the photos to enlarge them)

There was some initial confusion with flying this 25ft long beast!

Fortunately Phil has watched the DVD, so we were away!

Despite the lashing rain, the supporters were having a blast.

We'd meant to take the smallest 8 square metre kite, but this one had an ominous looking 12 typed onto it.

Mick working his magic.

What a pro.

It gives quite a tug!

And wait a minute...Joey's demanding a go! It is after all her kite (she's got the 8 and 12m kites and mine is the 16m)

And Jean obviously has to have a go with wingman Mick at her side.

Mick takes firm(!) hold.

And they're off.

It's all going so well!

"Oops...Jean...come back!"

Jean skips straight to lesson 4 - body dragging (traditionally done in the water however)

Those trenches definitely weren't there before we arrived!

Don't worry mum, it was all smiles...
...err mostly.
