The pictures above show Max in Mummy's tummy, and Dad-to-be hard at work on Max's baby bed!

So, here he is! Maxwell John Outram - born 11 May 2008 at 11pm (or thereabouts) in Auckland City Hospital, weighing in at 8lbs 4oz and 53cm long. And despite a rather unceremonious entry into the world, (a ventouse that didn't work and exploded off his head and then forceps) and some rather large bruises, here you can see that in this picture on the weighing scales that he is in good voice!

DON'T FORGET THAT YOU CAN CLICK ON EACH PICTURE TO SEE IT IN LARGE VERSION!

We won't dwell on it, but labour didn't go all that smoothly - with Max not engaging or looking like he wanted to come out at all! Here is Joey epiduralled up!

Looking elated - Max had literally just arrived 5 mins ago...and here is Yvonne, the wonderful midwife checking Maxi over.

Phil getting skin-to-skin contact with Max whilst I went off to theatre.

Back from theatre and SO happy to see Max.

Looking a little bit battle weary after his ordeal by ventouse.

Max does amazing poses with his hands.

Cuddles with Dad...

And with Mum...

Proud Dad.

Max was born into some incredible May Auckland weather - here is the view from his hospital window.

Max was born on NZ Mother's Day...here are his flowers that he gave to me!

Here is his ventouse cap...ouch!

Off to be weighed!

First bath.

What a precious bundle.

Phil managed to stay for dinner most nights..

Is that a wink?
